Number 14

We went to San Diego on Sunday for my third oldest brother's 5th child baby blessing (that was a mouthful!) She is the 14th grandchild for my parents. It was fun to be with my family (everyone except for three siblings) and to see all the cousins play together. It got a bit wild with all these kids around, but we had a great time anyway. My brother will be moving his family up to Utah at the end of this month (ugh!) so we won't see them as often anymore. Not all the kids pictured belong to my family. 3 of them are my sister-in-law's nieces and nephew.

Samantha, along with most of the other girls were in dress-up most of the time. She originally had something a bit more modest picked out the wear, but her cousin vetoed that idea and gave her the Barbie Island Princess dress...it's a bit tattered and torn. Sam did not seem to care. Then, she asked grandma to change her into another dress. That dress actually was her cousin's sunday dress, but Sam thought it was a princess dress. When we were getting ready to leave I told her we had to take it off. I had to hold her down to unzip the thing; she did not want to give it up. My sister-in-law decided to give the dress to Samantha. As soon as the dress was back on her body, she was in heaven. It's a Laura Ashley-ish dress, so it's pretty girlie. Sam always goes for the girlie stuff; I guess I should buy her some more frilly things (so against my nature though).

My niece holding my nephew that is all smiles most of the time. Jenn, maybe a future boyfriend for Peyton? They would just sit around smiling at each other all day!
