We had a great Thanksgiving walking up Millard Canyon. We actually did not make it up the canyon because a teenage boy slid down 30 feet off the trail so we had to wait for the rescue team to get him out. By the time they got him out, the kids had already played on the sliding rock and in some water, so we went back to the Thomas homestead. Samantha loved playing with her cousins, especially Maryn. Sam will approach Maryn, grab her finger, and direct her to where Sam wants her to go. Maryn is such a good sport.
We've had lots of family fun all weekend long. Marina was baptized today. She was supported by lots of family and friends. When we got to Carol's place, Sam went right for the chocolate. She started with fist fulls of M&M's, followed by Dove chocolate. I had to cut her off, so she tried to recruit Grandma and Grandpa to give her what she wanted. Sam cracked me up because she loved it when Marina would twist the rope on the swing while she was in it. Marina would let go and Sam would twist around while laughing. She kept telling Marina, "more!" She stayed on that swing for a good 15-20 minutes.
This weekend was a good kickoff for the holiday season. We should be pretty busy...there's a reason why the holidays don't last all year long.
